POSITION: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS – 1.0 FTE Occupational Therapist
JOB DESCRIPTION: BASIC FUNCTIONS: Plan, conduct and evaluate an educational therapy program for all assigned students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: – Diagnose and prescribe and implement an instructional and activity program to meet each student’s aptitude, interest, level of achievement, instructional and motor development needs. – Conduct parent and/or parent-student conferences to interpret students’ educational, social/behavioral and physical development and interpret program rationale. – Develop an individualized Education Program for each identified child.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS: – Ability to work cooperatively with staff, administration and support personnel in a team approach to solving individual learning problems. – Ability to access a child using both standardized and clinical assessment techniques. PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: – Washington State Education Staff Associate Certificate as Occupational Therapist. – Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with all students, staff, parents and community. – Valid Washington State driver’s license; must provide automobile for on-the-job use.
SALARY: Per Salary Schedule
