Job Description
To provide, as a member of the Guidance Department, a comprehensive guidance program for students in grades 9-12 and specifically provide activities to meet the needs of their assigned case-load; consult with teachers, staff and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students; and provide support to other high school educational programs.
Job Requirements
Assist with developing, planning, and coordinating the counseling services for students, including but not limited to, student scheduling, post high school educational and career guidance, financial aid counseling and individual and group counseling. Is available to students to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, maturity, and educational success.
Job Qualifications
* Master’s or advanced degree in education
* Minimum of three (3) years of teaching and/or guidance counseling experience
* Meet the Guidance Counselor licensing requirements of the State of Indiana
* Must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
